This was one of the cards we did at stamp club this month. I really like the idea of putting a picture on it and then the recipient could just leave it out permanently on this cute little stand.
Here is today's creation! It was a special order, requesting "a thank-you with a tree on it." I intended to make it more of a "spring" scene, but it appears I need more practice. It's not what I envisioned, but it's not bad.
Here is a Congratulations card created for a client who is very "green" and into environmental conservation. She really loved the idea of having elegant trees as a theme.
This was my first attempt at creating an "outdoor scene." I should have done more shading in the grass, but overall I think it's pretty good for a first attempt.
Here is a thank-you I created using Zing embossing powder for the first time. I was hoping the flower images would come in alittle denser, but I am pleased with the glitter effect of Zing.
Here is a birthday card I created for my boss. It's hard to tell in the picture, but I painted the embossed leaves with Adirondack pearl fixative to give them a shine.
This was cased from Splitcoast with my own personal touches of course. I wasn't sure how my faux Designer Paper would turn out, but I am suprisingly pleased with it!
I embossed these butterflies from Martha Stewart using black embossing powder and then painted them in with Twinkling H2Os. This card definitely looks homemade as the black embossing powder got all over the place. The H2Os turned out fantastic though (this picture doesn't do them justice).
Here is an anniversary card I created today using my new "Floral Medallion" from Savvy Stamps. It looks better in person because the SU Barely Banana ink I used is very subtle and didn't show up well in the picture. I broke out some JustRite monogram stamps (for the first time) that I had in my stash. Let me say these stamps are NOT JustRite, thus the gold gem to cover a stamping issue on the monogram.
My 5 year old son took off with my brayer this morning. At first I was mad that he was getting into my scrapbooking supplies, but it finally occurred to me (after he referred to it as "Frank" several times) why he took it.
