Happy Birthday Merik & Miles

These are the present tags I created for a birthday party Ethan was invited to. These two brothers love Star Wars as much as Ethan does (which is saying a lot)!

Let's Become Antiques Together!

I made this card for one of my besties that I go antique shopping with almost every Friday. She is the kind of friend you keep for life, so the inside says, "Let's become Antiques Together."

Storm Trooper - Thank You Cards

These are the thank-you cards I created for Ethan to send for his birthday presents. This was the first year he was able to write them himself. Everyone thought his kindergarten handwriting was adorable. Especially his mother.

Happy 6th Birthday Ethan!

Today is my son's 6th birthday. My baby is growing up too fast! He is currently obsessed with Star Wars, specifically Darth Vader so I created this to match the sprinkles on his birthday cake.

Happy Birthday Alonzo

I created this card for my nephew who is as wild and colorful a character as this card. I wouldn't trade him for the world!

Motorcycle Madness

Here are the birthday cards I created for my brother-in-law and my boss, both of whom are Harley Davidson enthusiasts. First I created the white piece I was going to stamp on and ran it through my printer to create the sentiment, then stamped and built the layers of the card from there.

Birthday Cupcake

This is a spring fold card we did at last month's stamp club. I really like the way the folded layers of ribbon looked like real icing and the shiny sliver paper cut with the word window punch made for the perfect baking cups.

Pink Winter

This is one of the cards I created for my client who likes trees so much. I don't think I even remember how to make a sunny, lush, green scene anymore, this has been the longest winter we've ever had. Come on Spring!

Happy Birthday Greg

Today's post is the birthday card I created and sent to my brother-in-law Greg. It was inspired by our black lab.

Happy Birthday #10

I used an old favorite, "Sporting Goods" on this card for my nephew. He is the sports star of our family. Happy 17th Birthday Stephaluffagus!

Vintage Birthday

Wow, I guess this one sets the record for most stamp sets used on one card! This was a special order birthday card. The client wanted something with trees. I took that to mean I could get away with leaves and flowers. I guess it worked because the client loved it. I think that sprinkling in the green and gold leaves really helped spice it up a little.

Go KU!

This is a special order card that was created for a KU fan. The blue on the jayhawks is much more vibrant (and looks much better) in person.

Leafy Birthday

Here is a birthday card I created for my boss. It's hard to tell in the picture, but I painted the embossed leaves with Adirondack pearl fixative to give them a shine.

Embossed Butterflies

I embossed these butterflies from Martha Stewart using black embossing powder and then painted them in with Twinkling H2Os. This card definitely looks homemade as the black embossing powder got all over the place. The H2Os turned out fantastic though (this picture doesn't do them justice).
